The country’s old name was Svithoid. The name Sweden came from the word Svear. The capital of Sweden is Stockholm, the largest state in the country, and Swedish is their official language. It lies in Northern Europe and shares a boundary with Norway in West & North, in the east with Finland and joined to Denmark in the southeast via a bridge-tunnel. The country has 25 provinces which combine to forms 3 large lands namely Northern Norrland, Central Svealand, and southern Gotland. In Sweden there is a constitutional monarchy with one legislative house form of government and the parliament is called Riksdag. It is strong in economic terms and has a GDP of $531,408 million which stands at 16th position globally. Back in 1950, it became one of the richest countries in the world as the per capita income of Swedish grew at a tremendous rate and helped in becoming financially stable. The present population of Sweden is 10.3 million and has estimated to reach 11.26 million. As the country’s large population is urban, the telephone and internet s high in use and it is not the only thing It is the most innovative country and the early adopter of technology. Research and development are highly taken care and the government spends a large chunk of money on this, the Spotify and Skype belong to this country. Recycling is also their strong point as compared to other countries and they even import waste from other countries to recycle and the source of money too. The health system is parallel to developed nations and has a low infant mortality rate and a high life expectancy. The country possesses different cultures and every fifth child has another country’s roots. So the change of culture is more because of immigration which has increased and around 25% of the Swedish population is of foreign background. Sweden is a member country of the European Union. The country outpaced its neighboring countries like Norway and Finland.
