SNAP and POST! This has become the new mantra of our lives. It has become supremely essential to make our presence felt to our ‘fam’ – the virtual family we have created.

Instagram today as per statistics, is considered the most important social networking site by a swooping 32% of teenagers across the globe. Currently owned by Facebook, this social forum made its debut in the year 2010. Within a very short span of time, it registered a total of a million users. Instagram was created basically with a view of a photo-sharing but with time there have been some really amazing and fun implementations making the platform all the more exciting.

Realizing the augmenting popularity of Instagram, it was taken over by Fb in 2012 which a followed a string of popular trends.

The most basic feature of Instagram – it allows you to upload geotag images, with locations tagged. However, with a plethora of editing options and also exclusively curated filters In 2013. The Insta direct option was incorporated to have private conversation with allowed followers. Next in 2016, IG stories were added. And what followed – is right infront of us all! Gym videos, food binge, and OOTD’s.

A very recent addition to its exemplary features was the IGTV, which enables users to upload videos. A massive number of videos were uploaded within the first 24 hours of its launch.

Instagram also has a myriad of safety checks for the person to know and customize the accessibility of the timeline of their activities. It has a two-factor authentication provision that demands a one-time code whenever a new device is used to log into one’s account.

It gives for seamless protection of our accounts – which are the keep safe of some of our beautiful moments of life – aesthetically captured and cherishingly posted. What also provides credibility to Instagram is the verified accounts with blue badges to let us know the actual whereabouts of our favorites! The visual communication agenda of the site is working pretty well and so here we go mindlessly scrolling.
