In this fast-growing world with constant technological advancement, the trending topics of interest are mainly the internet of things, machine learning, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality, etc. These terms are related to data analysis.


These terms coined not more than a decade ago, have become so common as if they hold with them our future world. This attention is well deserved, as they are really interested in probing concepts. So let’s discuss one of these technological advancements; IoT which is believed to be the leading technology behind many future innovations. According to IoT analytics estimates, there were roughly 9.5 billion connected IoT devices at the end of 2019.

Internet of things (IoT) simply means a system of interrelated devices that are capable of transferring data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction. Just like inter-connection between humans results in marvelous outputs, similarly, the interconnection of the devices can impact our world phenomenally. 

IoT can be brought into our daily lives via several ways but the most convenient way is via mobile apps. Since nowadays almost everyone possesses a smartphone so IoT has become truly accessible to all. 


To take an example, we all must have heard of this basic as well as a very helpful application, which makes one able to control the house appliances like refrigerator, air conditioner, television, washing machine, etc through your mobile, sitting anywhere in or out of your house. 

It was just a basic example to understand the basic structure of IoT. IoT has a great potential of transforming our world. With IoT we can imagine smart farming, smart homes, smart cities, industrial internet, connected cars, connected health, smart grids, smart supply chain, and a lot more, turning into reality. A lot of research is going on.

Blending IoT with AI

Another interesting fact is that we can blend IoT with other technologies like AI to take it to the next level. Artificial Intelligence(AI) is the stimulation of human intelligence. AI with IoT seems to take form in the hardware world.

The combination of IoT and AI would make smartphones smarter, the technology more interactive and innovative. IoT‘s one of the most significant applications is in the healthcare field. Devices such as sensors, medical equipment, and other health-related pieces of equipment are configured to connect with IoT. The new digital phase of the medical field will surely improve the conditions of many inaccessible places. Well, again IoT app development companies here have a crucial role to play. And these medical-related apps are required to be smart in its basic operations via AI. In data analytics too, both have great roles to play, to make data more secure and precise.

Tackling Global Issues with the help of IoT

Moreover, we can tackle many global issues with the aid of  IoT. It can be used for forest fire detection by monitoring the combustion gases and pre-fire conditions to set up the alerting system. It can be used for landslide and avalanche prevention by monitoring soil moistures, vibrations, and earth density to detect dangerous patterns. It can be used in chemical leakage detection in rivers by detecting the leakages and wastes of factories in rivers. It can help in the prevention of river floods by monitoring the water level variations in rivers, dams, and reservoirs. By incorporating such creative applications of IoT in our world we can improve our environment and also prevent many of the unpredictable situations.



Undoubtedly, there will be huge empires of tremendous technologies in the future which will encompass the whole of mankind with a more featured life than ever before.
