FIRST IMPRESSION





They say ‘first impression is the last impression’. Well, it may not be the last, but it sure does decide whether you get a chance to make a second one. So we ought to make the first impression the best we can.

When we meet someone for the first time such meets often start with awkward hellos and weird laughter which is uncomfortable for all the parties. So if we are the one that is presenting themselves or a group, it is our prime responsibility to make everyone feel comfortable. Once we ace doing that, we are halfway there on making the best first impression. Now that everyone is comfortable and you are the one who made it possible, everyone will look forward to seeing what more you got.

Make confident gestures. Let them know that you respect them and appreciate their presence. This will make you look civilized and sophisticated. To appear confident is the key to a perfect first impression. Plan what you want to say before the meeting. Eye contact, cracking jokes, firm handshakes are implicit ways and everyone knows them but everyone must ace these.


Where are you lacking?


Almost everyone knows these ways to make a good impression but most of them fail. Why? Confidence! Confidence comes from self-esteem. So first, before anything else you have to believe that you can. You have to be the person who is not afraid of failure. You have to be the person who knows exactly what he/she wants and is ready to give everything for it because you know you can. And that’s how you get a chance to make a second impression.
