The global pandemic made us do so many things that we were not used to before. Carrying sanitizers, wearing masks, and isolating ourselves at home became a new norm and it was really hard to adjust at the start but now things are getting a bit better and we are slowly drifting towards normalcy.

Students all around the world were suffering due to online classes as they were not familiar with the online mode of learning. But now with the help of many online education websites, people are gaining knowledge at the comfort of their home which is ultimately also helping them to enhance their skills.

As most countries will extend the lockdown for several weeks or months, online classes are a great option to be busy and productive.

1. Coursera

Coursera is an American massive open online course (MOOC) provider founded in 2012 by Stanford University’s computer science professors Andrew Ng and Daphne Koller that offers massive open online courses (MOOC), specializations, degrees, professional and master track course. The platform is backed by renowned investors such as Kleiner Perkins, New Enterprise Associates, Learn Capital, and SEEK Group.


2. Udemy

Udemy is a popular online learning platform that gives people a chance to develop their careers and explore a wide variety of hobbies.

3. EDX

edX is a MOOC platform that offers university-level online courses. It has over 120 institutional partners like Harvard, MIT, Berkeley, Delft, RWTH, Sorbonne, and more.

4. Lynda

Lynda.com, now part of LinkedIn Learning is a MOOC website that covers a wide variety of creative, technology, and business courses.

5. Skillshare

Skillshare is an online education platform that is beneficial for both students and teachers.

These online education platforms are focusing on skills such as critical thinking and adaptability, which will help the students or even working professionals.
