 Top Web Browsers

An internet browser is a program through which you can use to view web pages and have access to the internet. The first web browser was created in 1990 and many are available for free. Our whole experience of using a web browser depends on the type of browser we use as some are demanding of our system resources or others are easy to use and navigate through.

There are a lot of browsers with good features and have immense popularity, with each one of them having its unique quality. So, it’s really hard to tell which is best amongst the rest. Some of the web browsers are:

  1. Google Chrome

It is a popular browser by Internet giant Google and has the best mobile integration. Google also released Chrome 69 in 2018 for the browser’s 10th birthday with a much better-revamped design and better password manager. There is a large array of apps and add ons available at the Chrome Store. Not to mention, hundreds of extensions can be downloaded for free in Chrome. As of November 2020, Chrome has a 70% worldwide browser market share. It also has a reliable suite of mobile apps which makes it the leading choice for web browsers

  1. Mozilla Firefox

It is developed by Mozilla Foundation and designed for simplicity, security, extensibility yet flexibility, and power. Firefox Quantum was a revolution in Firefox development which made the user interface better than before. Due to its performance and regular updates, it’s another good choice for a web browser.

  1. Opera Web Browser

It has a very similar user experience to Chrome as both are Google’s open-source Chromium engine. It is constantly evolving and is one of the most popular mobile web browsers to be used. It was initially released in April 1995, making it one of the oldest desktop web browsers still actively developed today.

  1. Safari Web Browser

It is developed by Apple Inc. and very popular with users of MAC. It was first released on the desktop in 2003 with Mac OS X Panther, a mobile version. It is a very fast browser powered by the WebKit engine. Safari 14 introduces new privacy features, including Privacy Report, which shows blocked content and privacy information on web pages

  1. UC Browser

It is popular on both desktop and mobile devices mainly in China and Indonesia. For thousands of users, tabbed browsing and a good startup make it a good choice. It is developed by Internet Company UCWeb, which is a subsidiary of Alibaba Group

The battle of the browsers will always go on but we all should choose a browser that is best suited to our daily needs. Each one of us has different preferences and only after analyzing all the pros and cons, we should opt for a particular browser for a better user experience.
