As every coin has two sides. E-Commerce has disadvantages as well.

Disadvantages of E-commerce

  • System security -credit card fraud is the most common security threat. Hackers gaining unauthorized access to customers' personal and payment information.

  • Trust issues- if you are an unknown you are unsafe, so customers initially find it difficult to trust any website with its product.

  • Delivery time -online stores try their best to deliver products quick as possible but they do take time to process the product and deliver it.

  • No real interaction- In many cases the product visible on the website is different from the real one customers cannot even see the product (for example clothes) and the person it is supposed to be brought for.

  • No physical presence - while shopping online customers cannot touch the product to have an idea about the quality.

  • Unable to connect to people with no internet- people living in villages or areas where the internet isn't available online shopping is not possible. So the website fails to connect to potential customers.
