A revolution in the world of sustainable development and solar energy generation. The windmill is a solar energy generator which converts wind power into rotational energy by its blades movement which is specifically used in grain mill also in other requirements. It has diverse applications. The story of the windmill is many centuries beyond when it is used for different purposes and in different forms namely Horizontal and Vertical. Various further advancement was carried out by different country people. In the 14th century, Europe got familiar with the windmills and then came the wind turbine which is similar to windmill except designed for specific purposes of electricity and hence the new step in the development of windmill. The first wind turbine was built by Professor James of Scotland by the end of the 19th century. The use of wind energy in generating electricity is one of the examples of renewable energy. As the 21st century began, the concerns over depleting energy, climate deterioration, and global warming all issues related to the environment have raised dependency on renewable energy and so the use of wind energy. Presently China is the world’s leader in wind energy that having more than one-third of the world’s capacity whereas India is in 4th position. Denmark is the only country that generates 41% of country energy via wind energy. It simply means that windmills could be more reliable in the future. The powerful windmill is Haliade-X 12 MW; the one that provides electricity to a higher number of houses is considered as the most powerful. The windmill can only be used in places that have favorable conditions for this and it also requires a good amount of land. The project cost of wind turbines is much higher though it can provide electricity and a single rotation of some wind turbines generates enough electricity for household single day consumption. Hence it has the capacity but also requires capital. This thing typically requires the infrastructure to be well averse.
