A country's development can be measured by its achievements in various fields such as sports, politics, safety for women, science, health rate etc. Though GDP rate, mortality rate, literacy rate etc. are some of parameters which are crucial to be considered while analysing the growth of a country, the following are India's achievement in the year 2013.


TO THE FEELING OF BEING SAFE

The Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace (prevention, prohibition and Redressal) Act-

Safety is not just a need but a feeling of safe is priceless to a woman. This act was mainly passed and legalised to ensure a safe work environment for a female.

The rules to be followed by an employer-

  • Providing facilities to internal or local committees for solving their queries.

  • Awareness plays a major role in increasing the impact and implementation of the Act, so it is a duty of the employer to organize workshops and programs for awarding the employees with the provision of the Act.

  • Providing moral, emotional and all kind of support to a woman, if she wants to a file a complaint against any mishappening with her within the premises.

  • Strict action against those employees found or reported to indulge in any act of sexual harassment to a woman.

Finally, the government representative parties had a competitor. Prior, the only two dominating parties where BJP and Congress. When a new party enters, it fears the existing parties to lose their powers. Thus, they work harder and do their best in solving problems of the citizens, as they are the elected by them.

SUCCESS OFPROTECTORS OF WATER BODIES- THE NAVY

INS Vikramaditya- The heavyweight 45,570-tonne aircraft carrier was commissioned at Severodvinsk, Russia. It was Indian Navy's biggest asset as at that time the Indian Ocean was surrounded and under threat by the attack by pirates.

GSAT-7 I- it was India's first military satellite, that was exclusively made for the Indian Navy. It helps in making military communications easier by improving maritime security and the ability to gather intelligence covering the vast Indian Ocean Area. Adding further it also links ships, submarines, aircraft and command from the land.

TO THE FEATHER’S – MANGALYAAN BY ISRO

  • Mangalyaan also is known as the Mars Orbiter Mission was launched by the Indian Space Research Organization with an aim of reaching to the orbits of Mars with a vision of developing technologies of an interplanetary mission. 

  • To be noted India was successful in its first attempt by just spending the lowest amount of Rs454 crore, which was the cheapest mission to Mars.

  • Another objective of the mission was to study the planter Mars and observe the surface of Mars and its mineral composition (in order to have brief research on Mineralogy and Morphology).

  • The mission also aimed at scanning the availability of Methane in the Mars atmosphere.  As methane is a chemical that plays a vital role in the sustenance of life on Earth. 

  • Scientists also determined the amount of water present in the Martian atmosphere.
