The outbreak of corona virus in China in December 2019 has, in less than 90 days, devastated the whole world. What emerged as a contagious disease has now left the world in a state of fear and oblivion. Countries have been locked down and economies have shattered. People across the globe are advised to stay at home and practice social distancing. Amid this pandemic and global crisis, what are we, as entrepreneurs, students, employees and above all as humans, supposed to do? With no work in hand and nowhere to go, how can we survive this social isolation for a period of time which might last for months?

With every setback comes an opportunity to change. This is a great time to make those changes that we have been longing for. Maybe learn a new language or learn to play an instrument or get that novel you wanted to read or perhaps meditate and find peace, because all we have now is plenty of time. This world is witnessing a recession which is bound to have haunting consequences in the coming years. We may not be free to work now but we can prepare ourselves for the inevitable by keeping ourselves updated and ready for action when the right time comes.

The world may be in utter dismay at the moment, with nearly 800,000 infections and more than 37,000 deaths across the globe, but the future has a promise of a new beginning and unimaginable opportunities. It is certain to have a plethora of new concepts and working environments in the coming years. We can see this situation either as a disaster or as an opportunity to analyze and change; it all depends on whether we act as capitalists or pessimists
