Travel videography or travel vlogging, as it is called in today’s time, might seem a simple fusion of  travelling and making videos, but it has a lot more stored in it. With ever increasing influence of online platforms like YouTube and Instagram, travel vlogging has become a trend and a passion for the millennial. Travelling is no longer limited to visiting places; instead it has evolved into sharing your travel videos which can make others experience that journey of yours without even getting out of their comfy homes. Quite interesting, isn’t it? But how can one enjoy that travel and also capture those once in a lifetime moments?  Travelling vlogging is the answer!

It is not necessary to have a person to capture your heavenly experiences of travelling; a solo traveler can shoot with the help of a smart phone or a GoPro camera. All you need is a device to capture those magnificent moments and a sense of that exquisite shot. Having a companion with a DSLR to take things to the next level, would surely be great. Travel videography might sound fun but it also has a lot of work involved. From taking elegant shots to editing those lengthy videos, it needs a high level of determination and obsession as well. Starting off with some terrible shots is natural. Stick to the basics. Try clicking shots from different angles. Aim for the emotions and not for perfection in shots. Explore the beauty of your destination and shoot even the tiniest of details. Enjoy capturing that divine sunset which makes your heart pound.  When shooting a historical place, try to give an overview of the place and a brief history of the region, so that it can act as an informative and a fun video to watch if you decide to post it online. No rocket science involved, just turn that camera on and begin!

  Travel vlogging can be for fun and for work as well. With the stereotype thinking fading way, this generation has a plethora of professions which never existed before. Professional vloggers can earn way beyond our imagination. If making videos and sharing them intrigues you, you might consider this profession as your dream job.  Watching professional vloggers might give you the insights and act as a stepping stone to your journey of becoming a famous vlogger. All it needs is a desire to explore the unknown and the creativity to present it to the critical unknown audience.

I think travelling is like a therapy, and if you add some videography to that therapy you get paid for the treatment done.  Capturing those stunning experiences can make you nostalgic anytime you get to the clips and turn those good old days on.
